Getting started

How do I start?

Create a free account with your e-mail address and confirm it through the link in the e-mail. Then create an organization and a project. The project shows your DSN, with examples for the most used languages. Put the DSN in your app and the first errors appear under Issues within seconds.

What is a DSN?

The DSN is the address your app sends errors to. It looks like https://<key>@ingest.errors.nl/<project> and contains your project's key. You find it in the dashboard with the project. If you suspect the key has leaked, rotate it at the project; the old one stops working.

Which languages and frameworks are supported?

errors.nl works with the official Sentry SDKs, which exist for PHP, Laravel, Symfony, JavaScript, React, Vue, Node.js, Python, Java and .NET, among others. Use the SDK as Sentry's documentation describes and only fill in our DSN. You can also send errors to our API without an SDK.

I already use Sentry. How do I switch?

Replace the DSN in your configuration with the one from your errors.nl project. That's all: same SDK, same code.

Credits and subscriptions

What is a credit?

Every error we store costs one credit. Errors we refuse, for example because you are out of credits, cost nothing.

What do I get for free?

Every organization without a paid subscription gets 1,000 free credits every month. What you don't use in a month expires.

What is the difference between a subscription and extra credits?

A subscription gives you a fixed number of credits every month, cheaper per credit. What you don't use in a month expires at the next payment.

Extra credits are a one-off purchase. They never expire and are only used once your monthly credits run out.

What happens when my credits run out?

Then we store no new errors until you have new credits. Sentry SDKs are told to pause and try again an hour later. Errors from that period are not kept. The dashboard shows a notice as soon as your credits run out.

How do I pay, and do prices include VAT?

You pay through Mollie, for example by credit card, iDEAL or Bancontact. At checkout you see which payment methods are available. Subscriptions are then charged automatically every month. Prices on the site exclude VAT. Dutch customers pay 21% VAT; businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number pay no Dutch VAT (reverse charge).

How do I cancel my subscription?

An admin of your organization cancels the subscription under Credits in the dashboard. It stops right away; you can use the credits of the month you already paid for until the end of that month. After that you fall back to the free plan.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes. Send us an e-mail with the name of your organization and the payment you want an invoice for, and we will send it to you.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

In a Google Cloud data center in the Netherlands (region europe-west4, Eemshaven). Read more in our privacy statement.

How long do you keep errors?

We keep errors for 90 days. After that they are deleted automatically.

Can error reports contain personal data?

They can, for example an IP address, an e-mail address in an error message or data from a form. You decide what your app sends. With the settings of the Sentry SDK you can leave out sensitive fields before they are sent. For the data you send us, you are the controller and we are the processor.

How do I delete my account?

Send us an e-mail from the address you log in with. We will then delete your organization, your projects and all stored errors.
