Switching from Sentry
Keep the Sentry SDK you already use. You only change the DSN, and your errors go to a Dutch company, on servers in the Netherlands.
Why switch?
- Your data stays in the EU. Everything runs and is stored in the Google Cloud data center in Eemshaven, the Netherlands. You sign the data processing agreement with a European company, under EU law.
- Personal data filtered by default. We remove passwords, tokens, cookies, e-mail addresses, IBANs and credit card numbers from every error before we store it. IP addresses are kept truncated.
- Pay only for what you use. 1 credit is 1 stored error. No price per user, your whole team can join.
- Notifications where you want them. By e-mail, in Slack, Teams or Discord, or as a push notification on your phone through ntfy.
Switched in two minutes
- Create a free account (or log in), then create an organization and a project. The project shows your DSN.
- Replace the Sentry DSN in your app with the one from errors.nl. That is all you need to change.
- Deploy. The first errors show up under Issues within seconds.
Laravel
In your .env:
SENTRY_LARAVEL_DSN=https://<key>@ingest.errors.nl/<project>
PHP and Symfony
\Sentry\init([
'dsn' => 'https://<key>@ingest.errors.nl/<project>',
]);JavaScript, React and Vue
Sentry.init({
dsn: "https://<key>@ingest.errors.nl/<project>",
});Python, Java, .NET and other languages
Same idea: put our DSN where the Sentry DSN is now, or in the SENTRY_DSN environment variable.
What does it cost?
| Errors per month | errors.nl | Sentry Team |
|---|---|---|
| up to 1,000 | free, with your whole team | free up to 5,000, for 1 user |
| 50,000 | €15 (Basis, 100,000 credits) | from $26, billed yearly |
| 100,000 | €15 (Basis) | $26 plus extra volume |
| 500,000 | €35 (Business) | $26 plus extra volume |
errors.nl prices exclude VAT and can be cancelled monthly. Sentry's price comes from sentry.io/pricing (October 2026). Check there for current amounts for extra volume.
What doesn't work (yet)?
We do one thing well: errors. This is what errors.nl accepts from the Sentry SDK:
- Yes: exceptions and error messages with stack trace, breadcrumbs, tags, user, release and environment. Custom fingerprints for grouping. Source maps for minified JavaScript, uploaded with one curl command after your build.
- No: performance monitoring (transactions), session replay, profiling and attachments. The SDK may keep sending them; we accept and discard them, and they cost no credits.
